Special Qualifications: All competitors must be ADS members. Disabled drivers, youth and first time competitors are strongly encouraged to enter. Site is wheelchair accessible in all regards.

General Rules:
1. The Hickory Knoll Combined Driving Event is approved by the American Driving Society and every class offered will be conducted and judged in accordance with ADS rules.
2. The HKCDE Committee reserves the right to decline any entry or return any entry fee before or during the competition without being liable for compensation. Classes may be dropped or combined if entries are too small.
3. Wisconsin requires Coggins testing. Please mail a copy of your 2010 test with your entry.
4. Under no condition shall a bridle be removed from a horse while it is put to a vehicle. Failure to comply will incur elimination.
5. Ribbons will be awarded to six places in each class.
6. Whips must not allow anyone who has not signed an ADS waiver to ride on the vehicle at any time. A responsible horse person shall be on the box at all times when the competing whip must dismount.
7. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
8. Disabled drivers will be accommodated and are encouraged to compete. Please inform the Committee of your needs with your entry. All facilities are wheelchair accessible.
9. Only ADS members may enter. Please send a copy of your membership card with your entry.

11. Entries are not complete until all forms have been completed. As a waiting list is expected, please mail only complete forms.
12. Grooms may ride on the vehicle from the beginning of the calendar year in which they turn 14. Single pony and horse drivers must be 14 and pair and four drivers 16 years of age. (Article 910)

Veterinary/Health Requirements: Neg. Coggins test drawn after Feb. 1, 2010 for all, Interstate Health Certificate as required for out-of state animals
Stabling Information: Temporary stalls located in tents, all competitors must take stalls unless given permission to show from trailer in advance. VSE(s) and small ponies may share a stall.
Grooms may navigate for two competitors, in different divisions if the schedule allows
Awards Offered: Ribbons 1-6; Division Champion, Best Conditioned, Best Dressage
Misc. Show Info: Friday greeting party after course walk; Sunday awards party. Parties are free for whips and grooms. Dogs must be on leash at all times and are not allowed in tents or pavilion.
Entry Requirements: Open to ADS members only, Second entry must be driven HC after first entry. Navigators may go on course twice. All single animals must take stalls. Show-from-trailer is limited and by reservation only. Entry by first time and youth CDE competitors are strongly encouraged.

Directions:
From Illinois: Take I-90 north to first Madison exit. Go west on Hwy. 12/18 to Hwy. US 14 east (actually goes south), go 6 miles to Oregon exit. Stay on exit ramp until you can turn right (west) on Hwy. M. Go 2 miles to Hickory Knoll Farm.
From Minneapolis: Take I-90 south to exit Hwy. 12/18 west which is well marked. Go west on 12/18 to Hwy. US 14 east (actually going south) go 6 miles to Oregon exit. Stay on the exit ramp until you turn right (west) on Hwy. M. Go 2 miles to Hickory Knoll Farm. From Eastern Wisconsin: Take US 151 or I-94 to I-90 south then follow directions above. From Iowa: Take US 151 to Verona. Exit at Hwy. PB, take PB right one block, then left (east) on M. Go 5 miles to stop sign. Continue straight 1/2 mile after stop sign to Farm.
